About the Role

Park Heights Animal Care Center is looking for a veterinary assistant. We are a 3-doctor practice located right outside of The Villages in Fruitland Park Florida. Interested in finding a motivated, compassionate, dedicated, individual that can confidently complete the following tasks: 

Assisting with Procedures:

• Restraining animals for examinations, assisting with surgeries, and collecting samples for lab testing. 

Medication and Treatment:

• Administering prescribed medications and immunizations, and monitoring animals during and after treatments. 

Record Keeping:

• Maintaining accurate records of animal health, medications, and procedures. 

Cleaning and Sterilization:

• Cleaning and disinfecting kennels, cages, and examination rooms, as well as sterilizing instruments and equipment. 

Patient Monitoring:

• Observing animal behavior, monitoring vital signs, and reporting any changes to the veterinarian or veterinary technician. 

Education and Client Relations:

• Providing pet owners with information on animal care, vaccinations, and preventative care.
